"The Best Laid Plans..."

Well, turns out the museum is closed on Mondays, so the planned visit is off until later this week. I've been looking into what ships were built in this area during the war and it turns out there were several and a few saw some action, so there's an added incentive to head up there and check things out.

I just found out that there's a new USPS stamp set coming out this summer called "American Advances In Aviation" which features several WWII vintage aircraft, check them out:


Also, I am anxiously awaiting the final episode of "Island At War", a five-show Masterpiece Theater series about the occupation of the Channel Islands by German forces. Nancy and I missed the first three episodes but the fourth left us glued to the screen.

Things might be hectic between now and 6am Thursday morning, so I'll probably not be posting again until after then.
