"Sugar Shock = Love"
I hope your day is filled with love in abundance and that all of the sugary treats haven't put you into sugar shock. Here at my house Nancy has created some confections that border on sinful and taste nothing but divine. I can feel the pounds just piling on my already overstuffed belly...
One thing, though: In between choosing which piece of candy to eat next from the Whitman's Sampler or deciding whether you will wear those red silk boxers anywhere outside of the house, take just a second or two and send out a positive thought to all of those families who can't be together because someone is serving overseas.
I am hoping to visit the River Museum, in Point Pleasant, WV, today. They currently have an exhibit of photographs of the munitions plants that used to operate a few miles north of town during the war. This is the infamous "TNT Area" of "Mothman" fame. I am wondering if there might be anything there I could use in the "Life During the 1940's" section of the project. If not, it still may be an enjoyable little diversion from the daily routine. I'll take pictures and, if any are worth seeing, I'll post one or two here. Our current house was built in one of two subdivisions created for the workers of these plants.
The rest of the week will be split between knocking out a few more rough drafts for a new client, a local music group called Equal Distribution, some preliminary work on a site we've been contracted to do and some more minor html tweaking on the project. Of course there will be the normal search for any tidbit of Fightin 79th info I can uncover, I am betting that will continue up to the evening before I submit the final product to be pressed, LOL!
Now, if you'll excuse me there's another heart-shaped cookie awating me. So much for the clothes I received for Christmas still fitting!
