"The Fightin' 79th" CD-ROM Updates
I have decided that it would be best to delay the release for about 60 days. With all of the new material I have to go through (espcially the roll of microfilm I received) I could go ahead and save that for a "Part II" release, but I would much rather get everything together into one package so I can go on to my next project with having any loose ends laying around.
There is also the matter of finding sponsors willing to back the project monetarily. While I have been lucky enough to get offers of free advertising, which I deeply appreciate - believe me, the cost of manufacturing the CDs the way I envision them will be dramatically higher than I first thought. For a while I actually considered selling burned CD-R copies but I have looked into that and it would be contrary to the ultimate goal of preserving this information in a digital format which can be viewed decades from now as recent testing indicates CD-Rs don't last as long.
Thanks to everyone for their patience, it really means alot to me.
Don't forget, we're taking reserve orders now, just e-mail us for more information!
