  "The Fightin' 79th" CD-ROM Updates

We're still getting good feedback on the site and some early reserve orders as well, thanks everyone, it is much appreciated!

I was contacted by Capt. Arthur Heiden recently and he asked if I would be including an excellent article about the 20th Fighter Group, which originally appeared in True Magazine back in November, 1944. I had considered using this article from the beginning but, after over 18 months, I have yet to find if there is anyone out there who claims the copyright to it. Initially I decided to just err on the safe side, but I now believe this article is what could be classified as "orphaned" (that there is no claim or the cost of finding who does own the rights would be so high that it would be nearly impossible to track them down.) So, just because Capt. Heiden thought it should be included somewhere I am adding it here as a special bonus feature!

I have also heard back from a number of new contacts so there may be even more new material coming in soon. Anyone who was acquinted with a wartime member of the 79th Fighter Squadron during the war, please, don't hesitate to contact me and share your memories!

Finally, after talking it over it has been decided that some portion of the proceeds from this project will be donated to help restore the rare P-51H (#44-46265) which is located at Octave Chanute Aerospace Museum. Please, take the time to visit the website that Norm "The Mustanger" has put together showing the group's progress and, if you would, donate a dollar or two to this worthy cause! Simply Click Here.

Don't forget, we're taking reserve orders now, just e-mail us for more information!
