  "The Fightin' 79th" CD-ROM Updates

I'm still all caught up in this personal matter but I really wanted to take the time to thank Ken Robison for all of his help. Not only did he get me a photo of Neal Archer, Jr.'s gravesite he contacted Nancy Hayden, Archer's niece, and through him she sent me a great photo of Archer.

I should also thank Dan Haacker who sent me some great material on Leonard Wright, Jr. and from that I have discovered Wright became a well known sportsman and author of numerous fishing books.

An offer of help/input has alos been made by one of the top experts on 20th Fighter Group history, Mr. David Knight, who has already sent in a list of all known Fightin' 79th aircraft. I have asked David for permission to use a few articles he has written as they would add alot to the CD.

Renee at the Wilmington Library sent me some great articles relating to Stephen Saltzman and as soon as I receive his obituary from the Bennington Library, his profile should be completed.

I can't forget Sue Jones, who sent me photos of the headstone that is located at Marion Bench's family plot. Even though he was buried in Belgium his name appears on the headstone with both his parents' names.

I also finally managed to get some clear footage from the 1943 John Huston Academy Award winning documentary Report From The Aleutians which features Delynn Anderson and it has been added to his virtual gallery.

E.C. "Pete" Peterson also sent me an excellent copy of some 79th Pursuit Squadron P-40's at Hamilton Field, California which was scanned and quickly included in the appropriate section of the CD.

I hope to get everything all finished up in the next few days so that I can go back to giving the CD my undivided attention, but fear not everything is still on schedule for a November release!

Don't forget, we're taking reserve orders now, just e-mail us for more information!
