  "The Fightin' 79th" CD-ROM Updates

Into the home stretch...

WOW, I can't believe that I've only got about seven more weeks before the CD will go out to the folks who'll be beta testing for me! While everything looks right on target for a November release I still have yet to get all of the text revised and edited, so the beta copies may also be unedited proofs.

Ken Robison sent me yet another package with items relating to Neal Archer, Jr. and now both his profile and virtual gallery are completed. At this point there are just a handful of profiles that aren't 100% finished and those are the ones I am either waiting for information on or are ground officers whose profiles I added late in the project. I am shooting to have all of the latter finished up by the end of the week.

I finally heard back from Lela Barnard, the wife of Donald Barnard, and she is preparing to send me information on her husband. I am really looking forward to seeing what she sends.

My personal matter is still ongoing but is not quite as pressing as it was, so I am planning on using this week to edit a few new video clips, to tweak the html coding on the CD and to go through and triple check the spelling on every page. If that all gets accomplished then I am hoping to hit the local library to review some microfilm a day or two each of the following weeks.

I still haven't gotten the mailing list ready to go but I will be updating everyone in the next ten days none-the-less. Between now and then I will also be setting a deadline for new submissions. As much as I hate to this it's a necessary evil as there's just so much I can handle and, as the release date draws closer my schedule will be quite full.

Stay tuned folks, it won't be that much longer!

Don't forget, we're taking reserve orders now, just e-mail us for more information!
