  "The Fightin' 79th" CD-ROM Updates

The continuing saga of my personal matter has yet again been demanding more of my time and attention than I would like, however it looks as though everything will end within the next day or two. Meanwhile my week ahead doesn't look to be very quiet as Friday a crew arrived at the house to install vinyl siding and the incessant hammering makes concentration almost impossible...

None the less I have managed to finish everything I had scheduled for the CD except for reviewing the microfilm, which I hope I will be able to do sometime this week. I finally finished the section on Evasion and finished up the profile on Nathaniel Blanton, which some help from the generous folks at ArmyAirForces.com forum. This leaves only a handful of profiles to finish up, mainly Ground Officers.

Lela Barnard, the wife of Donald Barnard, called me several days ago and will be sending me a package of material relating to her husband. This will no doubt make a great addition to the CD and I look forward to including it.

Despite all of the distractions I am still confident that the Beta versions will be going out to the testers on time. I'm still on the hunt for an editor, however, and I am hoping to find one this week.

Don't forget, we're taking reserve orders now, just e-mail us for more information!
