"The Fightin' 79th" CD-ROM Updates
Hey folks, just another quick update...
I am happy to announce that my good friend Tait Aune has come onboard to help edit the text portions of the CD. Tait has been one of a handful of folks who have been very supportive of this project from the get-go and his input has already helped to shape certain sections, so he was the natural choice. I have already sent him 72 pages of text to start with and hope to have the remainder on their way by Tuesday evening at the latest.
This weekend doesn't look as though it will be very productive on my end, however. The nagging personal matter is demanding it's final few days of demanding my attention and there are several other unrelated items on the list of things I must do. All of these combined will probably take up the bulk of my time from now through Monday morning. Still, everything seems to be right on schedule and I am planning to have the beta copies in the mail by the 10th.
The CD's cover art has been revamped and I will be debuting the new design sometime in the coming week. I had originally planned on the CD being shipped with a regular-style jewel case but I'm now leaning towards a slim-line case with just a two-sided insert card. This required me to make a few changes and, by the time I was finished the design had a much cleaner look that I am really happy with.
I am still in a state of disbelief that this project is getting so close to it's conclusion. It's only a little over ten weeks before you will all finally get to see the final product!
But, for now, I am off to catch a few hours' worth of sleep...
