"The Fightin' 79th" CD-ROM Updates
Yet another quick update...
First of all I want to send out my thoughts to everyone effected by Hurricane Katrina. I spent several years in New Orleans when I was a child and I have had a great fondness for the Crescent City ever since. It was heartbreaking to turn on the TV this morning and see the French Quarters under water.
What was Katrina is currently over my area now and thanks to the rain I am getting a brief respite from the incessant pounding on the house as they add the vinyl siding. Unfortunately fate saw too it this morning that I would get up anyway as Nancy's car had a flat tire and I had to get up and take care of that...Somehow sleep just is not in the cards for me right now.
Everything is still on schedule. I am planning to have the beta copies in the mail by September 9th and after that I'll be heading back and forth to the local library to finally take a look at the microfilm that I have yet to go through. Beyond that all that remains is the transcription of one interview and a few articles that need finishing up.
