Onward Into The Fray!
With the holidays now in the past and the new year ahead I thought I would take this chance to catch everyone up on what's been going on.
My brief vacation was great, it was nice to actually not feel chained to the computer because of a looming deadline. However it's time to get back to work, there's bread to put on the table and history to uncover...
New material continues to trickle in for the updated version of The Fightin' 79th CD. Loic Lemarchand has uncovered some significant photographs relating to the crash of Lt. Neal Archer's P-38 and I'm awaiting word as to whether or not I'll be able to use them. I am also hot on the trail of what might be the last surviving aircraft assigned to the 79th Fighter Squadron -- more on both these items as news becomes available.
Preliminary work on Conspicuous Gallantry is underway. I have located some family members of one Medal of Honor recipient and a veteran's advocate who has done research on another and I hope to be in contact with both of these individuals before the end of the month. Right now I am more concerned with finding sponsors for the project and I am putting together proposals for that today.
I am happy to announce that The Art of Syd Edwards will also be expanding in the next few weeks. We will be offering digital conversion of VHS tapes to either VCDs or DVD's. I'll keep you updated on that as well.
Now, back to work...
Don't forget, we're taking orders for the Fightin' 79th In WWII now, just e-mail us for more information!
